I found a nifty tool a few years ago that might help you: it's called a
Gator Grip Socket http://www.surftilyoudrop.com/gatorgrip.htm
Essentially, it has a bunch of spring loaded pins that you moosh onto the
offending fastener and turn with a square drive ratchet. The pins will jam
around the most buggered bolthead/nut and give you purchase.
It's kinda one of those "AS SEEN ON TV" products, and I use real socket, but
it has never failed me.
