Now here's a really good one.
Sometimes, by accident, words are thrown up on Brit reg plates. COM 1C,
f'rinstance is owned by a famous comedian in this country.
The DVLC (who issue these plates) realised a few years ago that the pages
and pages of reg plates for sale in newspapers were making a lot of money.
(It's a complicated procedure to transfer a reg plate from another vehicle
    but it can be done).
So the DVLC started to sell interesting reg plates. The record used to be
(may be beaten by now) ANG 1E which some prat bought for his
    girlfriend/wife.
HOWEVER, and this bit I really like, there are legal requirements to the
letters on plates and you can be fined for not keeping to them.
Hence, if the blokes who bought COM 1C and ANG 1E from the effing
government remember, have plates made up without the spaces COM1C and ANG1E
the self-same government can have them nicked and fine them.
     Double standards anyone?

not that this stops anyone from doing it of course, most people who can
afford these plates can afford a fine every month or two!

    Best Cheers

    Reverend Frank
