    Back in my college days the local yacht club racing crowd seemed
    especially partial to IZOD shirts. Everybody wore them. With the exception
    of the crew I raced with, we were a bunch of college students after
    all. So one day we got a bunch of the little plastic alligators in a toy
    store and pinned them to our shirts, belly side up.
