It being a nice day I went off to one of Calgary's two "pick your own damn
part" places and found a rear window wiper assembly that didn't take much
more effort than removing two bolts to pull free.
It wasn't from a Subaru though. For some reason the half dozen or so
Subaru's at Buck's Auto Parts were all missing their rear hatches. I
couldn't tell you what model of vehicle my bit came out of because the
thing didn't have a recognizable name or symbol on it and had been burned
right back to the rear hatch which wasn't even singed. All of the vehicles
in this place had spray paint labels giving model and year. The hulk I
pulled the assembly off simply said "Car".
I suppose I will have all sorts of issues trying to get the blade arc right
as well as the reach but it all seems doable.
