We spent a week in Athens (Greece, not Georgia) in 2000, and as
usual got off the tourist tracks and into the neighbourhoods to
get photos and generally look around. In a courtyard I spotted
a dilapidated looking Anglia -- body apparently perfect, decent
original paint, but a trashed interior -- and suddenly started to
have evil thoughts about shipping it back to the UK or the States
so I could restore it. It looked so forlorn sitting there...
Two seconds later someone fetched a shattering blow to the back
of my head. I awoke an hour later in our hotel room, where I was
told by my SO that Smudger & Harry (my '71 Spitfire) represented
sufficient toys for the next several years and that I should stop
coveting bits of Old Iron until both cars were restored.
But I still have the address. And photos. Heh-heh...
