    If you are adventurous, you can repair the gauge yourself. The unit works on
    vapour pressure of the fluid in the bulb. You need to refill the bulb and
    then resolder the capilliary tube. I refilled with ether using a quickstart
    can and reconnected the capilliary with a short sleeve of brass tube from
    the hobby shop. Check the calibration with a pan of boiling water and away
    you go.
