                  I know we're getting desparate here so that is the context of
                  this suggestion......
                  What about tyre pressures? if they are (way) too high the
                  tyre will run on a very narrow part of the tyre (think bike
                  tyre width here) - if everything else is 'perfect' this may
                  only show itself through the wear pattern, but if anything
                  else is even slightly (just a little bit) wrong this will
                  significantly make it worse
                  Just try running 10-15% lower tyre pressures and see
