For simple starting purposes a deep cyle battery is not the best.
They are designed to release their stored energy consistantly over a
long period of time and to be capable of being run to a flat condition
frequently. A high current draw can damage them
The starting battery needs to release the power in large amounts is a
short period but is rarely run flat. Frequent running to flat will
shorten the life of a starting type battery
These two requirement mean two different internal structures.
