[lro] 2nd/3rd gear distance sleeve

How hard should the brand-new (genuine) distance sleeve pieces (it's
2-piece) be to fit on to a brand new (genuine) mainshaft? They're darn
tight--I can't really get them on once I hit the fat (splined) part of
the shaft. They'll twist on if I apply lots of pressure and twist hard
but it feels as if the splines are practically cutting into the brass,
and so I'm hesitant to force them.
