Saw quite a number of Series trucks, either parked or
driving while in Seattle. First place I've been to
where I've seen a Series. Actually got passed on the
Freeway by a red 88 with surgically altered right rear
side panel. Truck was going 55-60 and having no
problem with the traffic. Glimpsed a 109 in traffic
and saw at one other 88 and 109 parked on the street.
Year around shorts wearing is awfully common in
Seattle. It wasn't particularly warm though it was
sunny when we were there. Anyway, saw guys in shorts
everywhere. More interesting, saw three on the
streets wearing kilts, full get up with tasseled
garter and that fancy fanny pack whose name I can't
think of at the moment. None of these sightings were
on Broadway, btw. There is also a place called
'Utilitkilt' that makes Kilts for construction
workers. They have a big sign on a building in the
fishing boat harbor area. Thought it was a joke until
I saw a guy wearing one on a construction site. He
cheated and had a pair of compression shorts under it,
though.
Seattle is definitely an interesting place.
As far as coffee. Will be planting around our house
as soon as I finish painting the downstairs.
Production will be curtailed but should have enought
to meet the demand from the listees. Unfotunately, it
will be a couple of years before they'll produce. I'm
going to be in serious withdrawal as I've developed a
Jones for my home grown brew.
