Think of it as extra lubrication.

Seriously, don't worry about it. It might run a bit rougher
cold but all the Diesel will do is burn, but not give a lot
of extra power.

When I converted the venerable Mr. Steed to petrol from
Diesel I drained what I could, then just filled the tank
with gas. Ran fine.
