quite right...and the reason these tiny contacts get 'burned' and stop
working. To eliminate this problem, consider installing relays for all
main or auxillary lighting. Then, the stalk switch only takes the tiny
current needed to trip the relay. You get brighter lights, too, as Rover
only used 14 to 16 gauge for everything. (Was there a copper shortage?)
I've installed a separate fuse box under the bonnet on both the 88 and the
Disco. The former has a marine fuse panel for glass, in-line fuses, while
the Disco gets the more 'modern' spade-type fuses. I bought a plastic,
travel-type soap dish at WallyMart and the installation looks "factory".
Not water proof, but very water resistant.
