    We regularly take 1.8l Miata engines and put out 240 hp (measured at the
    wheels) without even having to remove the valve cover. They'll run like
    this for years. Our 2.0l race car is somewhere north of 300 hp and had 340
    ft/lbs of torque. Once the turbo is strapped on, the big increases come
    from working with the engine management programming.

    However, the engines don't run so well on Coleman camp fuel.
