JL, change the -pulley and the belt to get it charging
better at low RPMs. With the lump you have in there you'll
never get the alternator past critical speed.
The other thing you might want to do is get a 12SI
alternator. Physically the case is the same size and
general shape, and they're rated to 105 amps, with
appropriately higher slow-speed charge current than the
10SI.
The uprated alternator kits change the coils, diode pack
and the regulator IC most likely. i wouldn't hesitate to
try this if it's well built.
