The interesting thing about this occurrence is that even though I can't start in
drive, the transmission acts normally once the vehicle is moving. I am starting
out in first and then shifting to drive at 5 MPH or so and driving normally.
Stop the vehicle and I have to go through the whole process again. The parts
guys at LR think it's a clutch pack or a valve body and want to sell me a
tranny. For their price I could probably buy a truckload of clutch packs. I just
need to know what to expect when I open it up and where to buy parts.
