There was a Rally team who tried the marine wiper on the late 60s in
England.
It worked well until it encountered MUD. Not much of that in the marine
environment.
It seems that when the mud was thrown off it left nice smeery tracks
across the screen untill the whole screen was coated. That took about 3
good lumps.
