    Doh. Forgot the rest. If the key turns, or you've already got in
    the off position -- where you can take the key out, were it not
    broken -- you might try a pair of needles. you can sort of slip one
    on top, the other underneath and withdraw the key. Comparing the
    stump with a intact key may help visualize the manipulations you need
    to do. Bending the needles to have a bit of a hook might help,
    depending. Another removal trick is to use a piece of fairly stout
    wire -- a straight pin works well, flat end first -- grind it to fit
    the profile of the keyway if needed, and then practise inserting it
    up to and touching the end of the broken off key. Once you have that
    down, put a dab of superglue on the end, stick it in the keyway up
    to the key, wait a few seconds and withdraw key. Care needs to be
    exerted not to get superglue into the lock, clearly.
