    Not sure what you mean by "protection for the wires"
    The wires go into the fuse block and are embedded at that end in the same
    waterproofing that the rest of the block is in. The wires are insulated for
    their entire length. Each fuse has a seperate 12g wire maybe 5' long, but
    the bundle of wires is loose, no outer armour or anything.

    I used 2 of the waterproof blocks and spools of 12 gauge wire to rewire my
    IIa 88. I spent a great deal of time creating a diagram of how I wanted
    things to run, added seperate circiuts for all of my lights, cooling fan,
    and radios.
    I wish I had gotten some GM style harnes connectors. I didn't create
    seperate harnesses, but instead wired one huge thing. It works, but it's
    pretty much going to be a real PITA if I need to remove it. Unplug rear
    turn signal and that wire runs forward and up into the dash.
    I think next time I do this I will make a rear harness, dash harnes, engine
    harness.
