Oh a couple months ago just to get up a steep ramping bolder. First gear
low range 3000 RPM put me at about 4 MPH with gobs of power & torque. My
first gear low range final drive ratio is 70.4 and I have 32 inch dia
tyres. 1000 RPM puts me at about 1.5 MPH with way more torque than the
LR 2.25 produces at peak torque.

One thing about having power + a very low ratio is I just about have to
drive low range first with the hand throttle. Any bump puts enough
movment in my foot to cause the Rover to jump forward. It takes very
little throttle change to make very quick changes in velocity.
