Er....no. Don't try it - you don't want the contaminants in your engine.
Seriously, a metal or plastic float made for the purpose should be
inexpensive at an auto-parts place. Don't skimp on things that conatact
fuel - this is nasty-bad practice and can cause you nothing but grief.
