Sorry no but you could do what I did when the Solex on my 107 ( I know its not the same ) went bad. I got a 34 ich Weber ( off a cortina) and re jetted it to suit. +'s Parts are easy. -'s It's custom work. I could find out the jets I used on the 107 if you want. Marin Faure" <faurecm@halcyon.com> Subject: Right turn rumble On my 1973 Series III-88 I've noticed recently that when making a sharp turn to the right at slow speed, as when pulling into a parking stall, there is a rumble and vibration that seems to be coming from the front of the vehicle. I can feel this vibration to some degree in the steering wheel, too. There is no rumble or vibration when I turn sharply to the left. It feels as though a tire with its big side lugs is rubbing on a spring, but a check of the tires at full lock shows plenty of clearance. But that's sort of what this rumble feels like. The only thing that comes to mind is that one of the U-joints inside the swivel balls is going bad, but if that were the problem I would think it would make the noise when steering in either direction, not just to the right. The rumble is there even with the hubs disengaged, so that would seem to rule out the front differential. If anyone has any suggestions as to what might be causing my "right turn rumble" I'd appreciate hearing them as it might save me a lot of troubleshooting time. Thanks. ________________________ C. Maybe it was because my symptoms. like yours, were only apparent when turning right. I doubt if this is the answer to your problem, but it is still a funny story.
