From: Max Mawdsley <maxm@wpds.com> Subject: A/c pumps Date: Fri, 25 Jul 1997 12:04:24 +0100 Does anyone out there in the real world know what pressure the air = conditioning pumps run at on the Land Rover or Range Rover systems ? Will the pump be able to pressurize a air tank up to 90 psi ? The reason for the question is that we're looking at ways of activating = an overdrive on a 4-speed manual gearbox, without having to use the = lever. The system is going into a 101 Forward Control, and as the = gearbox is about 3 feet behind the driver any additional linkages to = operate lever are a pain to say the least. Max Ps On a computer note, how do I get rid if the junk that appears at the = bottom of this message when you receive this email ? or do I have to = live with this crappy office-97 outlook junk ? ------------------------------[ <- Message 2 -> end | Table of Contents | <- Digest 970726 -> Archive Index | <- Browser -> ]

E-mail: rovernut@hotmail.com Andy, You recommended that I check the wire to the points regarding my 109 that wouldn't start... Well, you were EXACTLY right!!! I had replaced the wire that went from the side of the cap to the points because it deteriorated... I didn't look closely how it was connected, and didn't use my head AT ALL!!! Obviously when I put it back together I just put it under the nut and grounded it. Thanks for all your help! You saved me from many hours of frustration and the purchase of many parts that I don't need!!! Thanks a BUNCH! Dave Brown! Date: Sat, 26 Jul 1997 01:36:31 -0500 From: Clare & Lee Dunkelberg <clarelee@smart1.net> Subject: auxiliary heater I want to know how hot air comes out of a supposedly sealed compartment under the driver's seat. I think it has something to do with going 70-80 mph in a softtop (non reg) attempting to keep buttoned up and run air conditioning. By the way, this is Lee in Texas - aka Dunk. I"ll "check" to any comments about the other Lee's problems with hot air in the driver's seat. Cheers!
