[digester: Removing section of: Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="------------C3B029E94FD70C6969F12BA5" ] Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Has anyone here ever tried to fit servo-assist steering to a series III? Can it be done? Does it work? Is there a (UK) kit available or do you have to make it yourself? -- Adrian Redmond --------------------------------------------------- CHANNEL 6 TELEVISION DENMARK (Adrian Redmond) Foerlevvej 6 Mesing DK-8660 Skanderborg Denmark --------------------------------------------------- --------------C3B029E94FD70C6969F12BA5 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Description: Card for Adrian Redmond Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="vcard.vcf" begin: vcard fn: Adrian Redmond n: Redmond;Adrian email;internet: channel6@post2.tele.dk x-mozilla-cpt: ;0 x-mozilla-html: FALSE end: vcard --------------C3B029E94FD70C6969F12BA5-- ------------------------------[ <- Message 2 -> end | Table of Contents | <- Digest 970622 -> Archive Index | <- Browser -> ]
Date: Sat, 21 Jun 1997 14:08:12 +0200 From: Adrian Redmond <channel6@post2.tele.dk> Subject: The diagnosis of the week [digester: Removing section of: Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="------------DFD2B1E13D14F8D6D0450E68" ] Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit My oil pressure problem on the 88 turned out to be a combination of several things - a gunked up oil filter being the worst. The funny noises were from the gearbox, which on inspection was running "a little dry" - haven't topped it up for a while as there is a pending rebuild anyway, but time and money has delayed the rebuild so new gear oil was called for. The water temperature problem seems to be the temp. sender unit - it showed (intermittently) HIGH when the motor was cold and not running! And the hopping out of 2nd gear? My mechanic who did the rebuild took the car in, pulled the box, stripped it down again, found NOTHING wrong, but for safety changed all the components which are related to 2nd gear, and hej presto - no slipping when changing down! The parts he replaced were new only three months ago and show no sign of wear. But he did the job and didn't bill me, so it does pay to get the box rebuilt professionally sometimes - if you hit such a mystical problem on a home-rebuild it's your problem, but given an honest mechanic, the problem remains at his workshop! So the fleet is running again - watch this space for further breakdowns... -- Adrian Redmond --------------------------------------------------- CHANNEL 6 TELEVISION DENMARK (Adrian Redmond) Foerlevvej 6 Mesing DK-8660 Skanderborg Denmark --------------------------------------------------- --------------DFD2B1E13D14F8D6D0450E68 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Description: Card for Adrian Redmond Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="vcard.vcf" begin: vcard fn: Adrian Redmond n: Redmond;Adrian email;internet: channel6@post2.tele.dk x-mozilla-cpt: ;0 x-mozilla-html: FALSE end: vcard --------------DFD2B1E13D14F8D6D0450E68-- ------------------------------[ <- Message 3 -> end | Table of Contents | <- Digest 970622 -> Archive Index | <- Browser -> ]

Ron Mowry lent a tape of a Polish off-road event to Spencer Norcross and spencer left a message for Ron on my service that he could get the tape to you and you could get the tape to Ron at Owls Head on the 29th. If you could get the tape from Spencer and bring it with you, it would be appreciated. They are used and relatively rust free. I also have 2 Salisbury axles @ $500 each. I thought I'd post this for anyone coming to Maine for the Downeast Rally as I'm located in southwestern Maine just over the line from Rochester, NH. ------------------------------[ <- Message 5 -> end | Table of Contents | <- Digest 970622 -> Archive Index | <- Browser -> ]

You are way over my head here!! I just know the formula and how to apply it. I know that the constant you refer to converts to 1.5" of merc and CFM. What you surmise sound correct.
