It was produced by LRNA, narrated by Bill Baker, and filmed by the
Solihull Society's own Russ Rayburn. Before everybody goes scurrying
around trying to obtain a copy, you should know that the focus was
exclusively on the American team, with the one hour coverage divided
equally between the US trials in Colorado, the international trials in
Turkey, and the Mundo Maya final event.

I knew about it in advance, and I'm sorry it slipped my mind to announce
it. Broadcast was delayed a half hour due to a hockey=E5=B3 =C0<=FBgame.=

LRNA can probably supply video copies.

Two people from this list were in the documentary: Rocky Rover Roy

I am one of the many happy owners of the Disco'94 Mpi. It would be even
nicer if the Mpi have more power. I would be very much grateful if anyone
can share with me the way to get more horses out of it's 2-litre petrol
engine.

Subject: Parting out s3 SWB

I just acquired a very, very rusted '72 SWB which had received a series II
diesel. engine is out and apart. I got it for the front body parts and 16
inch wheels. All else is available. Can I help anyone out? My wife has been a
real sport, even up to now, so I'd like to get this thing dispersed as
quickly as possible. (I think my driveway looks good with two or three LRs in
it, doesn't everyone?) Thanks! John Dillingham in Woodstock, GA (770)926-8314

Subject: salisbury axle anyone ?

All right, I was visiting my mechanic this afternoon and checking out
the progress of the welding on the IIa, and about various spares and
bits, and he mentions that he's got an extra Salisbury Axle.

Now Salisbury axles seem keen with a bunch of LRO's, and if someone
asked, this once could find it's way to the North East USA if there
was an interested party. I ought to be able to find a bit of space for
it amoung the other spares.

Cheers,
 -Bill

A friend sent me this ad seen in the 'classifieds' section of Atlantic
British Ltd.'s newsletter for this fall (I believe, it had no date but he
said it was recent).

Anyhow, this ad appears which made me wonder if others have heard of or
inquired about them.

'92 DEF 110's - 100 brand new def 110's (yes, 100 no typo) built for
Desert Storm, miliatary spec, lhd, diesels, 2 drs, 4 drs, soft tops &
hard tops. $26,300 to $28,500. 907-790-2144. AK.

The parentheses were in the ad, so I'm sure he thinks people will assume
he's crazy or it was a typo. I'm going to call on Monday unless someone
out there has heard of them and shares the info.

Also in the same newsletter there were two individuals soliciting grey
market 110's. Are there any (legally) in the US? Just wondering, and
apologies to those who read the list outside of the US.

Thanks,

Michael

I. per TeriAnn
The Mud Terrains grip extreamly well and the extra height
helps for clearence and highway speeds. They are a bit
noisier than anything I have had on before though.

Never thought of that. Maybe the tires are what is making my 65 SIIa noisy.
Could I get rid of my earplugs?

II. If you make the right modifications, it is easier than you might
think to
convert a Spoof into a Huff. I think that it involves installing a lifetime
cast bronze exhaust system.

Cheers,
Malcolm

Subject: 109 Trailer Harness and Work Light mod.?

Has anyone out there ever installed a trailer harness into an existing
109 rear wiring harness? I'm probably going to be mounting a Class III
hitch on the rear and want to be able to set up the appropriate wiring
for a light duty trailer. Is this possible? Are there recommended tie
in points?

The same questions also apply to setting up a work light connection (I
though I'd add this while I'm at it and must confess I've not consulted
the wiring diagrams on this one yet to check if there's an existing
connection point)

Thanks for your input.

Cheers,

Jeremy

Let me guess... the 109 has traditional steel leaf spring suspension while
the 110 has a coil sprung suspension, the 109 has a straight 4 or 6 cylinder
engine while the 110 probably has a V8... think of the 110 like your Range
Rover with a longer wheelbase and the body appearance more like a Series
Land Rover (some think the best of both vehicles! :)
