Karl,
you are quite correct, I have just bought a workshop manual which covers
the LT85, this was the first I had heard of this one but I don't have any
experience with the 5-speed, just hearsay, or perhaps heresy.
I'll post a copy of this to the list also.

I'm probably the heretic that spread this.... Like wise the lt85 in both heavy-duty and light-weight form was unknown to me. Should stick with what I'm sure of i spose. Early Rangies, came with lt77's/lt230?'s, at least according to the advertising fliers, I kinda assumed that this would be what was fitted to the 110's. (oh well) Lt77's are derived from rover car boxes right???
