$2.00+/gallon isn't so bad - try ~$1.20/litre like it is here in the
UK - then you'll want your vacuum gauge to check on the economy. As
a general rule of thumb, however, if your foot's flat to the floor
you're using more fuel than you are when it's only half-way down.
