    TDC, no.1 firing is pretty easy:

    TDC should be when the rocker-arms for valves 7 & 8 are "on the rock" (7
    just closing and 8 just opening)

    To test the real position of the piston, poke something down the
    spark-plug hole & watch it rise & fall....
