I am don't know if I will be able to locate a stoichiometric gauge much less
pronounce it in any language :)

Last time I had my vehicle registration renewed my C.O level was vol. 11%, vs.
4.50 % legal limit, and HC was 863 vol ppm, vs. 600 OK-measured from a gizmo
shoved up the tailpipe. That was with my old carb, so I am eager to see how
    the Rochester shapes up.

Is there an ideal level of the above two parameters that I can shoot for that
would provide reasonable confidence that the carb is jetted and running not
    too lean, not too rich?

    Regards,
