Coincidentally I was just playing with mine yesterday :). First (as I am
sure you realized) that is 7/16 WHITWORTH, SAE would be a bit small :). I
got a set of the "quick release" nuts from RN (19 mm for those of you
counting) and they went on quite nicely with much better room for snugging
up the connection (nothing quite like watching you door top flap in the wind
at 50-60 mph). The only problem I had is that I have the La Salle door trim
and the long bolts foul the "arm rest" (currently removed, modified (I hope)
in the future) which is nice to have to rest the knee against. Hope that
