    the "Sea to Sky" highway (HWY 99) leading inland up to Whistler is quite
    spectacular, as well if they have wheels are of the motoring sort.

    Whistler Village (ski restort) is kind of a neat place with a lot of bistros 'n
    such, and about 1:45 drive from Vancouver.

    I would choose Victoria over this route if time is limited. The winter has
    been warm and dry, so not much snow up at whistler this year.
