    Damn... I should have remembered that, having all 17 of his Sharpe novels on
    the shelf behind me.
    You are right of course, and so was I as you will see if you carry on
    reading his excellent books.
    As a student of the Napoleonic Wars I can tell you that he is very accurate
    indeed. He's walked a lot of the battlefields (as I have, I often look
    around at others hoping to bump into him) and his research is impeccable.
