A 101 FC axle is a Dana 60 with rover type swivels, etc. However it's got
the NATO ( I believe) 6 bolt pattern. I could use 101FC wheels, it sure
would look different. I'd really like to stick with rover 5 bolt wheels
however as I have a few sets and like the interchangeability with potential
other L-Rs I might own in the future.

Actually, something I didn't know until very recently, Ford and Dodge have
manufactured passenger side offset rear differentials for 3/4 ton vans
before, I believe they were offset 5" and this was to clear a larger gas
tank. They are very common, however they have HUGE drums and are therefore
very heavy. The front differentials on Chevrolet and Dodge are passenger
side offset. It would be quite easy to put a Land-Rover on a set of 3/4
American axles, however they are often too wide (68" wheel face to face,
compared with a coiler's 62") and horribly heavy, not to mention the bolt
    pattern looks out of place.

    D60s are

I've looked into this, however they use stock parts for hubs. Nonstandard
bolt patterns are difficult to obtain and are prohibitively expensive as are
    often custom machined parts.

    Isn't this complicated?

    ;-)
