Blackpool is (in)famous for its gaudy flashing lights, loud game arcades,
noisy funparks, tatty B&Bs etc etc... ok in small doses, if you like that
kind of thing...
My kids do, I prefer more quiet.....
Cleveleys maybe??.... (posh end of Blackpool)
Southport eventually??? (major retirement area, loads of little electric
carriages and walking frames....)
