Subject: [lro] Installing a Weber on an SII

Sometime in the next several weeks I think I will finally get around to
installing the new Weber that I've had on the shelf for the past several
months to replace a Solex that is in need to replacement or serious rebuild.

But I wonder about the carb icing problems that have been reported in
    connection with the Weber.

My current setup with the Solex does not include a heat shield on the
manifold and I doubt that there ever was one.

Would a standard heat shield avoid the Weber icing problem? Is there
another way of dealing with it?
