If no one has a spare, Rovers Down South (dba
    http://www.faireyoverdrive.com) has this little doo-dah:

    Clutch sleeve
    Part# RTC7170
    Clutch bearing
    Part# RTC7171
    Both $105.00

Its for a Fairey unit - dunno if it works for a Toro

    Subject: [lro] overdrive part/mainshaft advice

Does anyone have a spare overdrive input bearing (for want of a better
term)? This is the piece that bolts onto the rear of the mainshaft and
has a bearing on the outside of it. The splines in mine are pretty shot,
so if anyone has an overdrive that's puked but has this bit in pretty
good shape, I'd gladly purchase it from you. My overdrive is a Toro, but
I'll bet this part is the same for Toros and Faireys.

Mainshaft advice: the splines at the back of my mainshaft are slightly
(maybe 1/72" on one side) worn--perhaps as a result of the slop in those
o/d splines. Should I spend the $100 (I'll be ordering from England) for
    a new mainshaft?

    Thanks,
    Bill
