Hey Erick
Ditto to what both John and Bill have said - I had to do all that stuff for
OZF. Also steering column mounting to bulkhead was loose, as were the bolts
holding the plate on the side of the steering box. Much less leakage now
and I have two finger steering.
You often can't discern wear in the track rod ends, but if someone turns
steering wheel while you watch the linkage, you can see where the play is.
Also, a broken spring can induce sudden maneuvers.
There are few shortcuts; Fix everything and everything will be fixed.
