As alluded to later in the post, it's an economic thing. If your going to
spend 30Kon a 2500 series pickup that will give you X years of live and Y
range use, why not spend 60K on a 4500 series truck that essentially gives
you X*2 years of life and Y*2 range of use? Back when pickups were cheap,
it made sense to have a couple of them kicking around. Now more substantial
trucks make better sense.
