Have you ever had one? Most people seem to have a very poor taste in their
mouth but have no first hand experience. I fit in the 'no-experience'
category too, but wouldn't assume the worst until I hear it from someone
that knows. When I was looking into diesel options the 4.3 popped up now
and again (as did the petrol version). I wouldn't run high boost on it, but
it seems to be a very decent engine from my sources. The real problem is
locating one. IIRC, Mexico is the only place I could possibly have gotten
one. To my knowledge none were sold in the US/Canada area.
If you do locate one I would be very interested in the results.
