The wiring loom in a series motor is pretty simple (and is in every
workshop-type manual you can get for the things :)
I'd start with the fuses, then follow the loom from there, testing for
voltage.
If you don't have a meter handy, then a bulb will do fine: if it lights,
you have voltage, if it don't - there ain't none :)
