    I'm not familiar with the specific application, but I've lived with
    multiple SUs most of my life. They are low pressure carbs, sounds like
    you changed something there. If you removed anything, I wonder if it was
    a pressure regulator? Could be as simple as a piece of pipe with a
    restriction. Also could have messed up the fuel return system.

    I'd say there isn't anything wrong with the carbs, but the delivery
    system change has caused the problem. Unless someone here is familiar
    with the specific application, you'd better get the factory manuals to
    get it sorted.
