As a apprentice years back I had to weld this SH*T on may occasions. As the rest have said , grind off the welds as good as you can .
Make sure you're well covered up as zinc as a habit exploding when welded, sending balls of molten metal everywhere.
Regardless off how little you are welding insure that there is good ventilation
as you can get zinc poisoning (the shivers) very easily and it is not a very pleasant experience .
Symptoms are firstly a sweet taste in the mouth followed by shivers and all over body cramps and if your unlucky severe vomiting. This can last for between 24 hrs and 36.
