The restorations are worth what Charles' clientele are willing to pay.
Everybody likes to give Charles a bad time but you have to give the man credit
for building a business around the Series Land Rover, doing what he likes to do,
and making a living of it. He has positioned his company to do business with a
market sector that has the expendable income but not necessarily the time or
desire. I don't think you can fault him for that.
And yes, he sells his trucks with a solid dose of hyperbole. The people that
buy from him are satisfied on the whole or he wouldn't still be in business
after all these years.
