Fuel stabilizers should slow the oxidation of the more active fractions
in the fuel. The good ones do work, but 6 months is about all you can
count on them. Of coarse LR engines have such a low octane appetite that
you could probably get away worth 1 year with out a problem. Don't count
on them to stop varnish built up on a carb during long turn storage.
