Perrone, you'd be very welcome on the uk-lro list, just send the usual
message to majordomo...
as I said in an earlier mail, about a billion years ago (last week), the
split was between the poseurs and the enthusiasts although some people got a
little more hot under the collar than they needed to.
On the - supposedly US Leafer list - I read mails about Mercedes, Aztec,
various boats and airplanes.
On the UK list I read mails about ham radio, a high profile murder case and
ancient rock bands...
some of these are interesting (to me) and some are not. that's OK, 'cos all
of these mails are sent by people who own Land Rovers of one form or
another, which means that we have a valid starting point for being
pals...and I do have a delete key
On both lists I have learned things about Land Rovers and, I hope, been able
to have some useful input about Land Rovers myself. Occasionally, if I think
one of my virtual pals out there is getting just too pompous I might try to
deflate a little, and I would hope that you all would feel that we are now
friends enough to do the same to me.
We're all brothers (and sisters) in Land Roverdom under the skin and surely
friends can disagree now and again, go off in a huff then come back and have
a pint and discuss the game as if nothing had happened?
Hey, if we all agreed, all the time, about everything, wouldn't life be
boring....
Best Cheers
Frank
