About 70% of a vehicles ability is in the driver IMHO. I Haven't needed
anything bigger than a 32" tire, and the only reason I would is if I was
entering the rock crawling championships. I'm not saying that ground
clearance isn't nice, just that someone who knows their vehicle can
    usually
find a way over most anything. Where is "out here" anyway? I'm in
    Colorado.
One thing to think about before making radical mods to a landy is are
    you
ever going to sell it. You will drastically cut the resale price of a
    rover
if it has been cut up as most buyers are looking for a stock one.
