I'm bringing Bill's back to life. It is fairly much identical to a
fairey. For those of you who have done a rebuild, is it possible to put
the entire assembled shaft in the case at once? It is going to be a pain
to do it piece by piece. I was thinking that if I pull the pin for the
intermediate gears and temporarily put something thin in to kind of hold
the gear and bearings in place, the drop in gear heigth may allow me to
put the entire mainshaft assembly in at once. I will try it soon, but
has anyone else tried it and if so, does it work?
