LRO: Missing Front Drive Shaft

    Being a range rover neophyte I bought a 88 range rover over the weekend
    only to find that the car is missing it's front drive shaft. I called a
    local range rover salvage yard and was given a quote of $150 for the drive
    shaft. I know, I know, shouldn't be so trusting of other people. . but he
    seems like a nice guy. . lol. . oh well, a lesson in life. Anyway, why
    would people take out the front drive shaft? Other than the drive shaft
    could there be other potential problems?
