        Another advantage of a Mean Green starter is not having to replace the
    ring gear on the flywheel if it is shot. This is because the drive gear on an
    MG starter engages from the opposite side from a Lucas. It pushes the drive
    gear out instead of pulling it in. Way less expensive than replacing the
    starter ring gear.
