Kirk, MG Midgets use a cheap, short throttle cable that would likely fill
the bill for what you want. Take a look at a Midget parts book - and think
of using the cable right off the pedal by drilling a hole in the pedal and
passing the cable through it and attaching the housing to the bulkhead
floorboard above it.
