    As mentioned by Marin it's because of the huge tolerances allowed in the
    spring/frame/bushing assembly.

    The manual states that a 1" difference side to side is acceptable.

    A one inch drop across the width of a Land Rover gives a perceptible lean.

    And for what it is worth, my LHD leans to the left unless I have just
    completed a hard left hand turn and stopped, then it is level.
